Lumber Mills require Silver and Coal to Transport Wood along Routes to neighboring Cities; Lumber mills are available only on Land.
Some Lumber Mills even serve two Cities at once and should be priority for Upgrade to level 5 where the amount of Resources available becomes Infinite; Here's a list of them.
A unit of Wood is worth 2 reputation points in the city which is subject to the City's temporary Specification that may double Reputation earned for a period of time.
If the warehouse is full, the surplus wood can be Sold for 8 Silver each.
After the Mill is Exhausted, it can either Restored by 10% using an Engineer or Sold for 315 Silver.
Wood can be used to:
- Construct or Upgrade District buildings, Mines, or objects on the map.
- Build/Upgrade Routes
- Buy/Repair vehicles
- Exchange for Crystals via airships
- Wager during Encounters (as losses)

Contracts[]
The Time required to complete a Contract can be changed depending on the Locomotive's Speed and optimized by upgrading the Route. While Wood and Experience as the revenue in the table can't be modified by any other factors. However, the Costs of Silver and Coal can be modified by the Efficiency as a dividor in the table. Using Small Flatcars, although a Standard Flatcar is possible, the Flatcar is marked as ineffective. Using fewer Flatcars than possible reduces efficiency even more.
If no Locomotives are available, the game will display an unmodified Loc with 1 Small Flatcar as a placeholder.
