Clay pit costs silver and coal to produce clay. Completing Contracts to transport clay may also produce Clay Pit Managers and Engineers. First clay pit is available at Level 16 after opening Craftville city.
Clay pits are available on land only. A unit of clay is worth 4 reputation points in the city. If the warehouse is full, the surplus clay can be sold for 41 silver each. After the pit is exhausted, it can either be restored for 10% using an Engineer or sold for 525 silver.

Contracts[]
The Time required to complete a Contract can be changed depending on the Locomotive's Speed and optimized by upgrading the Route. While Clay and Experience as the Revenue in the table can't be modified by any other factors. However, the Costs of Silver and Coal can be modified by the Efficiency as a dividor in the table. Using Basic Carriages, although a Standard Carriage is possible, the Carriage is marked as ineffective. Using fewer Carriages than possible reduces efficiency even more.
If no Locomotives are available, the game will display an unmodified Loc with 1 Boxcar as a placeholder.
