The Ashford is 10% faster than the Pacific train. However it is substantially more expensive and is not especially good value. Despite their 4/5 reliability rating they break down regularly.
There is a quest that requires you to obtain 4 Ashford locomotives, and several Additional Tasks that eventually require you to obtain 6 Ashford locomotives.
Repairing an Ashford requires 4 crystals and takes 20 hours.

- A beautiful Ashford given by Lynn Skytell; "Locomotives can also get old - sometimes they need a rest. So, as soon as we get the chance, we should buy and test new ones!" This quest unlocks after quest to upgrade Sweethold's administration to level 6.
