The Ashford locomotive is a two-carriage (three-carriage with upgrades) train that is unlocked at level 25.
The Ashford is 10% faster than the Pacific train. However it is substantially more expensive and is not especially good value. Despite their 4/5 reliability rating they break down regularly.
There is a quest that requires you to obtain 4 Ashford locomotives, and several Additional Tasks that eventually require you to obtain 6 Ashford locomotives.
Repairing an Ashford requires 4 crystals and takes 20 hours.
